When we collect personal information.

The only time we collect any personally identifying information is when you complete an online form, make a booking on our website, or when you travel with us.


About the information we collect.

Food Trail Tours asks for your name and email address, when you complete an online form.

When you complete a trade form, or make a booking we may also collect your address. You may also provide your phone number, but that "may not be required".

We also require your accommodation details, at some time, prior to the date of your tour. Advising accommodation details when you make your booking is the best time to do so.


How we use your information.

The information collected by Food Trail Tours, is primarily used to contact you, reply to your enquiry, or process your booking.

We may also use email to seek your approval, or otherwise, for inclusion in a Food Trail Tours e-newsletter, or snail mail list. Any such mail or subsequent mail will include instructions how to un-subscribe from our lists.


We will not use your information inappropriately.

We will not, without permission, disclose to third parties information that could be inappropriately or illegally used. We consider spam mail, or unsolicited emails by third parties as inappropriate.


When we share information.

We value your privacy and will not intentionally pass information to third parties, unless required to do so by law, or in circumstances described here.

In good faith we shall only disclose or access information for administrative, legal or other purposes necessary to maintain or improve systems or services.

    If you reserve another company's tour on our website we only disclose your name and contact details, unless they "require" other information.

This may include, but not limited to, activities causing injury to or interference with (intentionally or unintentionally) Food Trail Tours rights or property, Food Trail Tours clients, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities.


We do not collect your financial information.

At Food Trail Tours we do not see or record any financial information.

PayPal™ is the organisation that processes your financial transaction.

PayPal™  notifies us when a transaction has occurred, but they do not provide us with your financial information.

You can have your information deleted or updated at any time.

Your information can be deleted from, or updated in, our databases, if you make the request by contacting us using the contact page on our website.


We are sometimes required to keep information.

We may be required to hold information, as proof of business activity, or to meet other legal obligations. This will include, but may not be limited to, Queensland Transport, and the Australian Taxation Office.

The information will be securely destroyed, when we are no longer required to keep it.


How we secure information.

Unfortunately, no internet transmission can be can be 100% secure, so you must make a personal decision to send, or not send information.

However, we have provided a a more secure environment by using SSL encryption from Rapid SSL, when you complete our forms.

Once Food Trail Tours receives information, we do our very best to secure it in our systems.
